My process starts before a single guest walks through the door. I arrive early to photograph the space, capturing the details, the lighting, the atmosphere that's been carefully curated because those images tell the story of what the evening was built to be.
When guests arrive, I introduce myself personally to the people I'll be photographing throughout the evening. I let them know I'll check back with them a few times, which immediately puts people at ease and means every image feels natural, not forced. You can see the difference.
